Builders inPimlico.

Thomas Cubitt laid out Pimlico (SW1V) in the 1840s using the same stucco-fronted terrace grammar as Belgravia to its north, but on a tighter, more domestic grid. The houses here were subdivided heavily in the twentieth century, and TB&D's most common project type is whole-flat refurbishment inside a period shell: full bathroom refits and full kitchen refits alongside rewiring and improved ventilation, while keeping original cornices and ceiling roses intact. Full house renovations are also undertaken on undivided properties, with boiler installation handled by Gas Safe registered partners as part of the same contract. New flooring is part of the build scope on most SW1V refurbishments. 9.92/10 on Checkatrade.

FAQ

Commonquestions, Pimlico.

  • Pimlico SW1V falls within the Pimlico Conservation Area, and many of the Cubitt stucco terraces are listed Grade II. The area's heavy subdivision into flats means most projects are flat refurbishments requiring freeholder and/or building management consent alongside any listed building consent for works affecting historic fabric. TB&D navigates both listed building and leasehold consent processes for Pimlico clients.
